Opportunities

Are black men really given the same opportunity as black women are? At an early age young boys are referred to men way before their time. A lot of young men get their childhoods snatched away from them. Some due to being the only male in the household so they are forced to be the man of the house and take lead. Some even have to look to the streets in order to help their family out. Young males get preyed on way more then young females. Their predators are sometimes their moms, the neighborhood and the system. When not having a male figure around young males tend to look at the older men around their neighborhood for guidance. But instead of instilling the right things into these young boys they show them how to work the street and how much money that can be made on the corner.  Their mothers work multiple jobs which leave them alone most of the time, allowing them to do as they please. Then you have some mothers that expose their sons to the streets and encourage them to go make fast money. The system itself is designed and is waiting for young males to mess up. They look for young boys stereotyping them based upon a statistic which doesn't define every black boy. In my opinion I think it's hard for black men. They face so many obstacles so early before they even get a chance.
