Cake and Eat It Too

 

In the words of Trey Songz, "Baby, this might sound rude I'm taken but I want you and I don't wanna play by the book, no rules. They say you can't have cake and eat it too but ain't that what you s'posed to do?

Ladies, if you are really happy like you say you are then why entertain the next man that tries to get your attention? Why jeopardize your relationship for something that likely won't last? The majority of the time, these "side things" or boyfriend #2's are only there for the time being and turn out to be a waste of time. Other times, you end up dealing with the same nonsense you are dealing with in your main relationship, so is it really worth it?

We complain about how men would leave what they have for someone fatter/uglier than us but yet we do the same exact thing. If you are truly that unhappy then maybe you should rethink why you're in a relationship in the first place. What's the point of being in a relationship, if you feel like you need another persons attention and affection? In all actuality your selfishness will have you and your significant other out here looking like fools. No other man will respect you knowing you have a man. Let's be honest. Yes, he'll tell you everything you want to hear, spend some time with you and spend a few dollars on you but that's about it until he gets what he wants. That new guy will never take you serious because in the back of his mind he already knows the depth of your lies, dishonesty and disloyalty. 

Relationships are exclusive friendships between two people that share a bond. So ladies, why stay in a relationship when you are constantly cheating or contemplating cheating on your boyfriend? Please do not say because you've changed him and you refuse to let another woman get what you worked so hard on? Maybe the timing isn't right or you two have too much history to overcome. Relationships run their course and many people enter your life for just a season.  If I am talking about you, take a moment to ask yourself if it would be ok if your boyfiend did the the same, had his cake and ate it too?
