The Process

When getting hurt the healing process takes some time and it might not be what you expect but in due time it will get better. We all have been hurt by someone. We thought we were so deeply in love but then came to the realization that he or she was not good for us, and at the time we did not understand why we were in a dark place and going through the most pain but once we looked back we understood that we deserved better. During this process, in order for us to move on, we cannot keep reliving what we have been through. By continuing to bring it up we'll continue to open the old wounds that had caused us to cry, to doubt ourselves and blame ourselves on why the relationship was not working when in doubt we had nothing to do with the down and outs. At that time we thought if we continued to fight for "us " then we would eventually get back to the "old us" but it never happened. In order to move on and to actually close that chapter we have to let our past be the past because no one can move forward when bringing the past into the present. We all have baggage and hidden wounds but in order for it to get better we have to let them heal before actually moving on. Or can one continue to move forward with their baggage still treading behind them?
