Mirror Mirror

It's funny how the older generation tends to forget about their past. I see how older people talk down on the youth as if they were not doing the same exact thing in their early years. Yes I do agree the youth broadcasts things more but the way society is now social media is at it's all time high and we tend to indulge. But as far as how a person is living their life how can one criticize another when they too were doing the same thing. Partying all the time, doing/selling drugs and not taking care of their responsibilities in their 20s. It's one thing to give advice because you have been down that road before and you don't want that person to go through what you've been through but to talk down on a person is wrong when he or she act just like you at their age. I get the older generation can give the youth some wisdom but don't become hypercritical when it's like looking into a mirror and seeing the old you. It's not what you say, it's how the message is being delivered.

  1. Yes sometimes elders look down on the youth, but forget that was once them. The situation may have difdeeed because the times has changed but be there for the youth! If you tell someone don't do that explain real reasons why not, and share your owrosnal experience. People relate better to personal accounts than just repeated "quotes".
