Defining Beauty

Why is that when we turn on the television we only see biracial women with long fine hair and petite bodies being defined as beauty. When we as Black Women bring so much to the table from our different shades of color to our various shapes. Why do we down play what we have and praise other races? How many other races out here mimicking us from our color; tanning and our body structures; getting lip injections to get fuller lips, getting plastic surgery for wider hips and getting butt shots to get a bigger butt. Everything they are doing to become the "ideal beauty" we already have it we were born with those features that everyone is paying for.  Our skin alone varies from different shades; light to dark. We have so much dimensions because none of us are the same but yet we are united through sisterhood. No other race has what we have to offer. Our hair can change shape, size and give us a complete different look with just the use water or a flat iron. Why do we see other races beauty but dim our own beauty? The things that make us so beautiful is what we tend to doubt. Being Brown is not a hindrance but more of an advantage. Being Black is Beautiful in all aspects of the word. Just as the quote states " Everything has beauty but not everyone see's it", and WE as Black Women need to start seeing how naturally beautiful we are.

Am I the only one that see's that media stereotypes how beauty is viewed and am I the only one tired of it only being one sided?
